Here is how we fit into renting a container or restroom in Elk River.
Containers and portable restrooms are often sold by separate companies. Start with a single call and ask about both.
Standard units, accessible units and handwashing stations can all be raised on the same call, whatever the headcount.
Street placement often needs a town permit. Check early, since the local office has the final word on it.
You deal with a hauler serving your area, where one covers your address. Their rates and rules are the ones that apply.
Describe what is going in rather than guessing yards. Roofing, concrete and household clutter all load very differently.
What people planning a rental in Elk River, MN tend to ask.
Go by the job, not the house. A single bathroom or small cleanout in Elk River often fits a 10 yard, a kitchen or several rooms of flooring a 15, and a mid-size reroof or full-floor remodel a 20. Going one size up usually costs less than a second haul.
Most fit, but the truck is the harder part. It commonly needs a long straight run to back in, plus height to tilt the bed clear of wires and branches. Measure your Elk River driveway and mention any tight turns, soft ground or low limbs.
Rental periods are set by each provider, and many start around a week. If your Elk River project may run long, say so on the first call, because extra days are often cheaper when agreed before delivery than added afterward.
Public events and many job sites call for accessible units. Federal standards generally ask that part of a cluster, and at least one unit, be accessible. Your Elk River event permit or site contract may spell out exactly how many you need.
On private property, usually not. On a street, sidewalk or other public right of way, many towns do require one, and the rules differ across MN. Check with the Elk River public works or permit office before the drop-off date.
If food is being served, your Elk River or county health department may require them, and they are a sensible addition for any big crowd. Placing a sink near the restrooms and another near food lines keeps people from having to walk far.
